Candidate Statement

I’ve been honored to serve as a Rancho California Water District (RCWD) Director since 2017 and as Board President the past two years. I earned my BS in Business Management (magna cum laude) from Pepperdine University, and my career spans federally regulated industries including electric and water utilities. 

Temecula’s Wine Country has been my home for 18 years. I’m passionate about protecting our water and delivering prudent fiscal and environmental stewardship. My philosophy: Address not only current challenges facing our District – strategically develop and execute long-term solutions as well. I’ve been a strong advocate as RCWD pursues and secures grant funding for groundwater replenishment, storage, conveyance, and infrastructure projects. 

Too often, our priorities are NOT considered as State policymakers craft legislation and regulations that impact us. I represent our District on the Board of Directors for Association of Water Agencies Region 9, which covers 32,000 square miles. I’m also on the Board of Trustees for Southern California Water Coalition, comprised of leaders from the water industry, city government, and businesses impacted by water policy. We’re sending a unified message to Sacramento: More needs to be done for our region.
